Unlock packs, classes, and the extra path.

At A Glance

Shroom and Gloom quests are the meta unlock layer: card packs, extra classes, and the extra pathway. They are not daily Roblox codes. Shroom and Gloom from Team Lazerbeam, published by Devolver Digital, Steam Early Access September 10, 2026 (App 3271280). Verified September 12, 2026.

The table below is a community/DB snapshot — confirm names and numbers in the journal. There is no skill tree. Replay is packs, classes, and routes. If you never tick a quest, you are only playing Paperboy’s first kit. Store: Steam listing.

Why do Shroom and Gloom quests matter?

There is no skill tree. Replay is packs, classes, and routes. Early Access · Sep 10, 2026. A quest is how Paperboy becomes Lunch Lady, how a card family enters the draft, and how Facility becomes legal. Dual-deck still has to finish the run that ticks the counter: beginner guide.

Players searching unlock characters or unlock facility want this page, not a codes list. Steam Early Access has no redeem-code economy. Discord is for patch talk after the journal moves: Discord.

Shroom and Gloom quest journal or run-start kit

Meta vs run

Meta unlocks persist. Run progress (this hallway, this Headpoints bar) does not. Confirm in your save. Do not assume a failed Megashroom still paid Want Some More.

What this page will not do

No invented 11th quest. No daily reset fantasy. Exact slop / rage numbers can shift — journal wins. Class kits after unlock: characters. Paths after Gloom Walker: paths.

What quests are in the public snapshot list?

Ten named rows from community databases (see At A Glance). Numbers like “20 extra rage damage” or “slop 25 times” can shift. If the journal uses different wording, the journal is the patch notes.

Most rows pay a card pack. Two pay a character (Search Party, Want Some More). One pays a path (Gloom Walker). Do not spend a run hunting a pack when you actually wanted Janitor.

A Shroom and Gloom quests row is a counter plus a reward type. Discovery counters (Adventurous, Armed) move while you draft — they are free if you actually look at new Combat and Explore cards instead of rerolling the same STAB. Camp and feed counters (Camper, Need For Feed) move while you play the kitchen and the campsite, which is the same loop the beginner guide already wants. Boss counters only move if the named body dies, which means roast has to work in a long room. Path counters only move if you arrive. Mixing those four kinds into “do everything this run” is how Search Party eats three hours and still pays nothing.

King’s Quest hunger language and Meltdown rage language are the easiest to overfit. If your journal does not show a toad, you do not have a toad quest. If your kit has no Rage, Meltdown is not your next pack. Snapshot databases love extra rows; Early Access loves renaming them. This wiki would rather you open one journal line and ignore the rest than memorize ten names that a Tuesday patch shuffled.

Packs vs people vs paths

Packs thicken Combat or Explore families — then read card list. People change starter Foresight — then read foresight. Paths change the Explore verb set — then read Facility gunk versus Forgotten camp.

Feed and rage rows

Need For Feed wants slop / serve counts — Lunch Lady language, but other kits can still feed. Meltdown wants Rage — Concerned Parent lean, not Paperboy hour one. King’s Quest hunger language is snapshot flavor; confirm the toad, do not invent a recipe.

What should I chase first?

First loops: Adventurous / Armed while you naturally see new cards. Then a named pack boss if you can eat. Character quests after you can finish a pathway without scrambling. Rage quest wants Concerned Parent or a Rage engine — not Paperboy hour one.

Search Party (all Forgotten Path tunnels) is a completionist tax. Gloom Walker is a path unlock, not a first-hour target. Camper is a campsite fill — do it when you already camp, not as a detour.

  • Do01Open the journal and match names — ignore extra dump rows
  • Do02Tick Adventurous / Armed while you draft new cards
  • Do03Practice roast → eat before First Course / Want Some More

Which quests need a named boss kill?

First Course wants Lekker Limbs. Want Some More wants Megashroom. Prep is the same eat chain as the hallway — not a block stack. Named fight notes: bosses. Cooking: eat & soup.

Gloom Walker is “reach the gloom,” not a named HP bar. Worm-class fights live conceptually there, but the quest text is arrival, not a DPS check we measured.

How do I verify a quest in my build?

Open the in-game quest / journal UI. Match names, not this markdown. Early Access will add quests. Discord is for “did today’s patch rename slop,” not for inventing a hidden 11th row.

PC (Windows) · macOS · Steam. Single-player. If a community DB shows Researcher as a quest reward, that is a snapshot extra class — not confirmed live on the official five.

Are there codes for packs or classes?

No. Shroom and Gloom is paid Steam Early Access. This site has no `/codes` page. Packs and classes come from quests, not promo strings. Fake Discord DMs that sell “unlock codes” are scams — use the verified invite on Discord.

What next

Next: spend the unlock on a class kit, not a third deck — characters.

Then read the card families you just unlocked on cards and the path Gloom Walker pays on paths.
